About this course:
Throughout this course you will:
- Consider the meanings of "Relevant Healthcare" and "Social Care" based on legislation and CPV codes;
- Understand the five methods by which the ICBs, NHS Trusts, etc., will award contracts January 2024 onwards;
- Understand the criteria and detailed methodology Commissioners will use to assess your tender (offer);
- Decide how to develop an organisation-wide response to the new requirements:
- Be able to download relevant documentation, including our e-book covering the legislation, which you can use for decision making.

Background to the Regulations
We start section 1 of the course by setting out the definitions of the various services affected by the Regulations, including the services not covered.
Frameworks, Urgent Awards and Modifications
We look at the changes in how these will work compared with the systems used in the past.
Principles and Award Processes
We describe the criteria a Commissioner must use for select one of the five Processes and how each process is to be applied.
The Key Criteria
This is the first of the two sets of assessment criteria which we set out in section 2. We provide details of the five headings with a detailed description of the information you may be asked to provide for under each heading.
The Standstill Period
How the new standstill period will work with notification deadlines and action routes for aggrieved providers. We describe the significant differences from the past.
